Motivation
The LPG cylinder resale sector faces several inefficiencies. While some establishments provide 24-hour service, most do not operate continuously. Additionally, station replenishment is still conducted using traditional methods, relying on regular visits rather than actual market demand, leading to an inefficient supply process.
The Solution
The SmartDispenser solution addresses these challenges by introducing an LPG cylinder dispenser system. Managed through a mobile application, it allows consumers to order, pay, and unlock dispensers containing the desired cylinders without professional assistance. Additionally, the system provides real-time stock updates to distributors via the app, ensuring that visits to resale locations occur only when necessary.
Objectives
O1: Create a smart dispenser solution that allows the ordering, purchase, return and collection of gas cylinders without the need for professional intervention
O2: Investigate and develop a solution for fraud detection based on computer vision
O3: Investigate secure and low-power communication mechanisms between smart dispensers and mobile applications
